Modified High School Program

CSB and Newark Memorial High School (NMHS) collaborate to provide our blind and low vision students a high school diploma

• CSB students take English (4 years), Social Studies (3 years), Mathematics (2 years), and Science (2 years) at NMHS
• Classes at NMHS are Co-Taught, Resource Push-In, or Single-subject special day classes
• Courses at CSB include Adapted Physical Education, Orientation and Mobility, Art, Music, and Technology
• Students earn a non A-G diploma (No Foreign language requirement, 2 years of math instead of

Since its inception in 2015:

• Four students have gained the skills they needed to return to their home district high schools
• Three students have earned their diploma's from Newark Memorial High School
