JAWS and SBAC Training Tour

JAWS & how to administer and support your student through the Smarter Balanced Assessmetn Consortium (SBAC) Test.

This training will be broken up into 2 parts. The first session will be a JAWS training. The second session will be on how to support your student through the SBAC test with JAWS/Magnification. We highly encourage you to attend both especially if you have a student taking the SBAC testing with JAWS. It is designed for TVIs, paraprofessionals, and others who support students who are blind or visually impaired on the use of assistive technology.

We will discuss what's new in this year's SBAC test! We will include an overview of computer hardware/software requirements & configurations, a demonstration of navigating the test using JAWS, Braille Display, & Magnification, a demonstration of the Test Administrator (TA) and student interface, and a walk through of the student practice and training tests.
