Directions to CSB

Car

From  Highway 880, take the Stevenson exit east.  Cross Fremont Blvd. and Paseo Padre Parkway.  Make a left at the third traffic light onto Gallaudet Drive.  Turn right at Walnut Avenue, then right again into the first driveway and parking lot

From Highway 680, take the Mission Blvd./238 exit.  Go north on route 238/Mission Blvd.  Turn left at Walnut Avenue.  Cross the railroad tracks and turn left into the first driveway and parking lot.

From Highway 101, head south to Willow road. Take the Dumbarton Bridge into Fremont. Turn right on Paseo Padre. Turn left on Walnut Avenue. Turn into the first driveway and parking lot after Gallaudet Drive.

Public Transit

Take BART to the Fremont Station.  Take the #217 bus from the BART Station to Walnut Circle, school for the blind.  The bus runs everyhalf hour.  The bus stops on the campus, just west of the administration building.  There are tactile maps on campus: one to the left of the bus shelter at Walnut Circle, one to the right of the main doors of administration.

If one chooses to walk from the BART Station, the walk is about 3 blocks east.  Once one crosses Gallaudet, CSB is the first path to the right along Walnut.  If one enters the school from Gallaudet, there is a tactile map on the left shoreline just before the entrance onto Gallaudet Access.
